The Institute was started in 1989 by Neil Weenink and a small group of Hotel Engineers who got together to discuss issues encountered in the day to day running of their Hotels. It quickly grew and members can now be found in most states of Australia, New Zealand, Fiji and a number of Asian countries. The aim of the Institute is to keep Hotel Engineers and their staff up to date with the latest technology and methods of running Hotel maintenance.
